Personnel work approved at the 9th session of 13th Party Central Committee
(VOVWORLD) - According to a press release on the first working day of the 9th session of the 13th Party Central Committee on Thursday, the Party Politburo reported to the Party Central Committee on the Politburo’s decision to assign General Luong Cuong, a Politburo member and Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army to participate in the Party Secretariat and be a Permanent Member of the Party Secretariat.

Mr. Le Minh Hung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee Office is assigned to be the Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission and Chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee.
The Party Central Committee also discussed personnel affairs which included the approval of the relieving of positions and dismissal of Truong Thi Mai, a Politburo member and member of the 13th Party Central Committee.
The Party Central Committee elected 4 additional members of the 13th Party Politburo, including Mr. Le Minh Hung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission and Chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee; Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education; Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization; and Mr. Do Van Chien, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Party Central Committee decided on personnel nominations for the National Assembly for election to the position of State President in the 2021-2026 term and National Assembly Chairman in the 2021-2026 term.
